OBJECTIVES
- Increase the participant’s knowledge to better perform and/or interpret MSK ultrasound examinations.
- Identify ankle/foot anatomy and normal ultrasound characteristics.
- Demonstrate protocols for evaluation of the foot and ankle.
- Recognize ultrasound characteristics associated with commonly seen ankle/foot pathology.
- Apply ultrasound diagnostic criteria to evaluate ankle/foot pathology.
- Increase confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques & interpretation criteria to improve MSK diagnostic/treatment accuracy.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Physicians, sonographers, PAs and NPs, and other medical professionals who are involved with performing and/or interpreting musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) radiologists, sports medicine, orthopedics, rheumatology, PM & R, emergency medicine, primary care and physical therapy, and chiropractic medicine.
