Ultrasound Evaluation of Aortic Endografts
Ultrasound Evaluation of Aortic Endografts Training Video is designed to review endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), the role of duplex color detection, post-op surveillance protocols, and diagnostic criteria. The presentation will address methods, advantages, and limitations of color Doppler ultrasound for the evaluation of patients with endovascular aortic grafts.
Video Length: 0:49:00
OBJECTIVES
- Increase knowledge and competence to perform and/or interpret ultrasound evaluation of aortic endografts.
- Outline scan techniques for optimal ultrasound evaluation of the abdominal aorta, aortic aneurysms, and endovascular grafts.
- Define the term; endoleak and list the different types.
- Cite several sonographic criteria for stenosis and dysfunction of AV fistulas/grafts.
- Identify key sonographic findings associated with normal and abnormal endovascular aortic graft.
- Recognize and analyze ultrasound and CT angiography for detection of endoleaks after endovascular aneurysm repair.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Sonographers, physicians, nurse practitioners, PA’s or other medical professional performing and/or interpreting aortic endograft ultrasound exams. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) : Internal Medicine, Vascular Medicine, Radiology, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, and Cardiology.
