About This CME Teaching Activity
This activity is designed to provide a practical review of neuropathology, OB/GYN and dermatopathology. Topics include a review of basic to advanced techniques, pitfalls and pearls to pathologic diagnosis. Interactive case reviews emphasize points made throughout the program.
Target Audience
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate pathologists.
Educational Objectives
At the completion of this CME teaching activity, you should be able to:
- Achieve a better understanding of the WHO CNS Tumor classification Scheme.
- Review cutaneous soft tissue tumors.
- Identify and better understand diffuse gliomas, meningiomas and mesenchymal tumors.
- Better understand vascular tumors.

- Identify and classify CNS neoplasms and non-neoplastic mimics.
- Review CNS embryonal tumors.
- Achieve a deeper understanding of myxoid tumors.
- Discuss the pitfalls associated with melanocytic tumor diagnosis.
- Review clinicopathologic correlation in inflammatory skin disease.
- Evaluate difficult endometrial biopsies.
- Review molecular updates in gynecologic cancers.
- Evaluate vulvar and vaginal biopsies.
- Achieve a greater understanding of products of conception, gestational trophoblastic and placental disease.
- Better understand intraoperative gynecology consultations.
- Review fibroblastic and fibrohistiocytic tumors.
- Better understand glandular lesions of the cervix.
